Terms of service

In force from 1 October 2026 · CityTree Development, Nashville, Tennessee

Worksite is a managed service: we build your church's Worksite, connect it to the tools you already use, host it, back it up, update it and watch it. These are the terms on which we do that. They are written to be read.

1. Who this is between

"We" and "CityTree" mean CityTree Development, Nashville, Tennessee. "You" and "the church" mean the church or ministry that signs up, through the person who signs up on its behalf and is authorised to do so. "Worksite" means the software, the hosting, the setup work and the support, together.

2. What you get

A Worksite of your own — its own web address, its own database, its own folder on our hosting — built from the same source as every other church's and connected to your own Planning Center, Microsoft 365 and Clearstream accounts, which remain yours and on your own subscriptions. Unlimited people. Hosting, nightly backups, updates as they are published, and help by email at mail@churchworksite.com.

3. The setup month and the plan

4. No contract, and what cancelling means

There is no minimum term. Cancel any time from your billing page or by email; your Worksite runs to the end of the month you have paid for. Fourteen days after that it becomes read-only: your staff can still sign in, see everything and export everything, but nothing new can be added or sent. Thirty days after it becomes read-only we delete the install, its database, its backups and its uploaded files, unless you have asked us in writing to keep it longer. The setup fee is not refunded once the setup work has begun.

5. If a payment fails

Your administrators see a notice inside Worksite with a link to update the card, and everything keeps working. If the payment has not gone through fourteen days later, Worksite becomes read-only as above until it does. Fixing the card brings it back the same minute. If our own systems are the ones that cannot be reached, nothing is ever paused because of it.

6. Your data is yours

Everything in your Worksite — people, events, tasks, messages, files, connect cards, consent records — belongs to the church. We hold it only to provide the service. You can download a complete copy at any time from the Backups page, and we will hand over a copy on request when you leave. We do not sell it, share it with other churches, or use it for anything other than running your Worksite. The privacy page says exactly what is stored, where, and who can reach it.

7. What we ask of you

8. Our part

We keep your Worksite running, take a nightly backup and keep two weeks of them, keep it up to date, and answer email within one business day. We aim for it to be reachable all the time and do not promise that it always will be; hosting, the internet and the three services you connect are outside our control. If we are ever the cause of a loss of your data, we will restore it from the newest backup, and that is the limit of what we can promise.

9. Limits

Worksite is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses, and our total liability to you for anything arising from this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and we email your administrator, and continuing to use Worksite after that date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Tennessee, and any dispute is heard in the courts of Davidson County, Tennessee.
